Good morning from NY.
Reached New York around 3 AM, in town for the Avalanche Summit on the 16th, after 13 hours of travel for what was supposed to be a 6-hour flight. 😂 Special thanks to United Airlines for somehow turning a normal flight into an endurance test. Truly exceptional work. 😂 Slept for maybe two hours as a quick nap, then got up early for a meeting with my pitch deck team in France.
I was not happy with the quality of the work that was delivered. So instead of sleeping in and dealing with it later, I got up and showed the tougher side of being a founder. If someone is working on something that represents Balcore, the work has to be delivered the way it is supposed to be delivered. High standards are not optional.
This is founder life. You cannot always say, “I need my eight hours of sleep, great food, chill time, and perfect balance,” while also expecting to build an exceptional company. A lot of the time, something has to be sacrificed. Sometimes it is sleep. Sometimes comfort. And sometimes you have to be brutally demanding about execution to make sure the product, the brand, and the work meet the standard. The important part is not being ruthless with people. It is being ruthless about the standard.
I am not interested in building anything average. Whether it is the protocol, UI, pitch deck, documentation, branding, or anything else carrying the
@Balcore_AI name, the bar has to stay high. Building something meaningful requires obsession, sacrifice, uncomfortable conversations, and the willingness to keep pushing when it would be much easier to rest. So there is no escape for Balcore from becoming one of the best market-making tools in DeFi.
Be the Market Maker. There is no escape. 🔺
