My 4-year-old was trying to climb up on the couch. The 6-year-old blocked his way and said, "Before you can pass, you have to answer one question. Who was the 1st president of the United States? Was it Abraham Lincoln or was it John Cena?"
Watching The Sound of Music clips with my 4-year-old. I let him know that any time we throw a party, at the end of the night, I fully expect him and his siblings to put on a little show for everyone and sing a song about how it's bedtime. Then trail off quietly down the hall, go to bed, and cause no trouble for the rest of the night.
