CBDC AND ZERO RIGHTS The United States, a nation founded on the principles of liberty and individual freedom, is now creating a system that will erode the very bedrock of its democratic ideals. The move toward Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) is not just a technological advancement; it's a potential gateway to unprecedented government overreach and surveillance. While proponents argue that CBDCs can streamline financial transactions and reduce fraud, the darker implications are too severe to ignore. The reality will be every transaction you make is monitored, recorded, and scrutinized by the government. Your spending habits, your donations, even your impulsive midnight online shopping, nothing is private anymore. The government could, at its discretion, freeze your assets, cut off your financial lifelines, or manipulate your spending behavior, all under the guise of "national security" or "economic stability." It's not just an invasion of privacy. It's larceny of your liberty and freedom. I'm not naive. Once the door to such surveillance is opened, it will never be closed. The government could easily extend this financial monitoring to assess your social behavior, much like China's Social Credit System. Did you attend a political protest, The wrong city on the wrong weekend? Maybe J6? Your CBDC account might be temporarily suspended. Did you write or share an article criticizing government policies? Don't be surprised if you find yourself unable to make purchases. This is not just dystopian fiction, it's a plausible future if we tread down this path. The move toward CBDCs and similar technologies should not just be a matter for economists and policymakers, it should concern anyone who values personal freedom and autonomy. It's a slippery slope from financial innovation to financial surveillance, from a democracy to a surveillance state. The adoption of CBDCs could very well be the Trojan Horse that allows the government to enter our private lives, under the banner of "efficiency" and "security," only to rob us of our freedoms. We must question, we must debate, and most importantly, we must resist any attempts to normalize such overreach. The cost of convenience should never be our liberty. The price of innovation should never be our freedom. DO NOT COMPLY
