In 1944, John von Neumann and Herman Goldstine met at the University of Pennsylvania, where von Neumann discovered computers could be used beyond wartime.
He introduced Goldstine to the ENIAC and proposed the EDVAC, which influenced modern computers.
However, ENIAC's built-in problems led to a court case, and von Neumann worked at Princeton's Institute for Advanced Study.
