I wrote this article based on my own experience with community-driven crypto projects.
I was part of the team behind a token project that ultimately failed and lost most of its value. I also suffered a financial loss myself.
Looking back, I can see that some of the risks discussed in this article were present in that experience as well. This is therefore not only a criticism of investors, KOLs, or project teams. It is also a form of self-reflection and self-criticism.
The article focuses on attention dependency, KOL asymmetry, liquidity, and some of the warning signs investors may overlook before buying.
I would be interested to hear different perspectives from people who have experienced both successful and failed community projects.
