Hello! I am Mari, a Finnish-American artist based in S. Korea. I am a multidisciplinary artist working in traditional, digital and sometimes 3D works. My focus has been concept art and character design as well as world building. But the past 3 years I have been working within the NFT space as well. I enjoy creating art that brings a moment or character to life. I’m inspired by nature, fantasy, myths, legends and anything delicious or adorable. I have two styles I work in and both show a different side to my artistic expressions. I work both in anime pop art, as well as fantastical illustrated works. Through my art I want to accomplish 1 of 2 things for the viewer; to transport to a place of wonder and whimsy and to create joy. I am excited to be here and looking forward to making more connections and seeing old friends here as well in the creative community 💖

You cannot create on an empty stomach 😌 found this charming little ma and pa restaurant. Korean home cooking by a sweet little elderly couple. They only have like 5 tables in the space with a mini kitchen in the back. But the most delicious and nutritious foods to come out of it. On days I don’t feel like cooking I love coming to places like this together. Plus it helps that this place is so cheap too together this was like $18 for the two of us and we were so full ♥️ Eat well today 🍱 🙏🏻

GM 💖 My daughter always likes to dig into my sketches and originals folders and ask to “color” them. So I started to make scanner copies for her to color my work. She is my biggest fan (besides my husband) and at least she asks hahaha. Here she is coloring on of my fairy pieces I’ve shared here before but in her own colors. I often do my work in pen and ink first then digitally color them.
